Abstract

181,880. Stanton, T. J. April 6, 1921. Fastening.-Shoes are fastened by a strap split into a number of strips 2 permanently fastened to one quarter 5 of a shoe after being passed through corresponding slots 3 in the other quarter 4. The outer end 6 is provided with a snap or or other fastening to engage the original quarter 5, as shown in Fig. I. Two split straps are used to fasten a boot. The strips 2 where they are fastened inside the quarters 5 may form part of the lining.
