Abstract
177,811. Patent - Treuhand - Ges. f³r Elektrische Gl³hlampen, (Assignees of Studien Ges. f³r Elektrische Beleuchtung). April 4, 1921, [Convention date]. Vacuum tubes.-A glow discharge lamp contains a mixture of neon and helium in which the proportion of helium is much greater than that of a mixture obtained by fractionation of air, and is approximately that which secures the greatest ratio of light emitted to power consumed. The mixture is preferably 25 per cent neon and 75 per cent helium at a pressure of 10 mm. of mercury. It is stated that the mixture obtained by fractionation of air is 20 to 25 per cent helium and 80 to 75 per cent neon. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a mixture containing more than 30 per cent helium. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
