Sliding-jaw wrenches; jaw faces.-An adjustable spanner of the kind in which the movable jaw is in the form of a headed screw as b rotatable in a threaded portion as c secured laterally on a handle is constructed with a guide pin e which is secured to the screw b and is of the same diameter as the internal diameter of the threaded portion c. Both the screw b and pin e are formed with milled surfaces either of which can be used for adjusting the jaw. The construction allows the spanner to be used on small nuts by screwing out the screw b for the full length of its threaded part.
