Abstract

175,427. Bullimore, W. R. Nov. 19, 1920. Regulating transformers.-In apparatus for producing highfrequency currents for medical purposes, wireless telegraphy, &c. the primary and secondary windings of an induction coil are disposed concentrically in an insulating casing adapted to be held in the hand and fitted with the device (applicator, aerial, &c.) to which high-tension current is to be applied, and means are provided external to the casing for adjusting one of these windings relatively to the other. A casing a contains a secondary coil g and primary coil f which can be moved axially by an external member j. The applicator c is fitted in the reduced end b of the casing, and the leads d pass through an end-cap e to terminals (not shown), the connection between the movable coil f and the corresponding terminals being by flexible conductor.
