Cleaning, fluid - pressure processes for.-The normal velocity of flow through the pipes of a surface condenser or the like is temporarily increased for cleaning purposes by means of a jet apparatus connected to steam or high pressure water supply. In the plant illustrated, the jet apparatus g with check valve f is arranged in a branch pipe e to assist the pump b when the jet is turned on. The flow is further accelerated by opening the sliding valve k to reduce the resistance of the circuit.
