Induction motor meters; power meters; special quantities, registering.-An electric meter ordinarily readimg watt-hours is provided with an induction regulator 11 whereby it will register the product of volt-amperes irrespective of the power factor, the current coil 9 being joined to ona winding of the induction regulator which is mechanically connected with a torque motor 12 in series with the circuit 1 and actuated by the varying current therein to deflect the regulator- The other winding of the induction regulator is connected across the circuit 1, the current coil of the meter therefore being traversed by a current equal or proportional to the current in the circuit 1 and at a fixed phase relation to the voltage.
