Abstract

171,347. Moll-Werke Akt.-Ges. Nov. 9, 1920, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Welding.-In the electric welding of metals or alloys not possessing a characteristic welding temperature, such as aluminium, brass, &c., strips are placed between the electrodes and the metal, these strips being formed of a metal of high melting-point and relatively low heat conductivity, for example, iron poor in carbon. The oxide covering the surface of such strips keeps them from sticking to the weld.
