Abstract

169,518. Green, L., and Buyers, W. A. June 26, 1920. Chair keys, bent from a single steel plate to fcrm two open loops, have one or both ends bevelled to form a sliding contact with another part of the key and also to wedge itself between the key and the rail web or chair jaw. Both lcops may make contact with both the rail web and chair jaw, and the keys may be tapered longitudinally. Fig. 5 shows one sliding end, and Fig. 6 shows both ends bevelled. Specifications 6989/85, 6444/86, and 103,594 are referred to.
