Abstract

168,359. Brandwood, J., and Brandwood, T. April 29, 1920. Creel arrangements.-In doubling machines of the kind wherein the yarns to be doubled are drawn from the beam on which they are wound through eyes or guides below the beam by rollers and are delivered thereby to the doubling- spindles, a single beam B serving both sides of the machine is mounted in brackets A. and the yarns therefrom pass first through guides D mounted on a frame C, Fig. 4, beneath the beam and then around pins F to the rollers G. Alternate pairs of ends pass over a, lease rod E, and the guides are provided alternately with long and short shanks to assist in keeping the pairs of yarns separate.
