Engines with main shaft parallel to axis of cylinder.-A motor suitable for driving a drill consists of a rotary block f secured to the shaft c and containing cylinders g in which reciprocate pistons h having rounded ends engaging a stationary cam i. The block is adjusted by a sleeve d<1> on screwing up the gland d. The inlet and outlet ports l, k are controlled by a valve, and may each be connected to two cylinders.
