Abstract

Rollers.-Consists in the arrangement and combination of rollers and gearing shown on the drawing whereby slubbing bobbins may be placed directly on the ring frame or mule, thereby dispensing with the intermediate and roving frame. The diameters of the lower back, intermediate, and front rollers are respectively ¥ in., “ in., and # in. The back and the intermediate rollers are driven at the same surface speed, and the gearing, of which the wheel A is the ordinary change pinion and E the ordinary back roller wheel, is arranged to give a draft of from 1 to 15 to 1 to 18. The diameters of the top, back, intermediate, and front rollers are respectively # in., <7>/16 in., and # in.
