Ordnance, multicharge. - Auxiliary barrels d, e, f are provided, communicating by ports with the main barrel a and containing charges which are automatically and successively ignited by the gases in the main barrel after the projectile l has passed the respective ports. The auxiliary barrels may be symmetrically disposed or inclined with respect to the main barrel. To prevent escape of the auxiliary charge gases, a double checkring is provided, at the front of the projectile.
