Abstract

163,943. Curzons, H. L. Aug. 20, 1920. Roller bearings. - A self-contained bearing adapted to take journal load or end thrust comprises a number of double-conical rollers running on conical races, the outer of which is in two parts a, b screwing together for adjustment. The inner race is grooved at c<3> to receive the middle portions c<3> of the rollers. The parts a, b are locked after adjustment by screws f passed through alternative pairs of grooves in the threaded portions of the parts a, b and, screwing into nuts g. The rollers are spaced by a cage of the form shown in Fig. 4.
