Abstract
160,790. Krupp Akt.-Ges, Germaniawerft, F. March 27, 1920, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Compound forms; pistons.-In joining a weld-- able article to one not easily welded, members which are mechanically connected to the latter and welded to the former article are formed or connected so as to allow unequal expansion of the articles. As applied to a heat-protecting plate B for a further protecting plate G of a piston A of an internal-combustion engine, the connecting members D are tubular or have spaces to allow movement or both as shown. Each member is welded at E and flanged or expanded in a tapeted hole by a plug F. The edge of the plate B is welded to a multiple section ring C.
