Abstract
159,941. Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., and Paull, W. H. Nov. 12, 1919. Materials, special, fabrics containing; yarns specially treated, fabrics with ; warps, weaving temporarily into fabric form.-Yarns or threads prepared from viscose are used in the manufacture of casings for pneumatic tyres. The yarns may be fed from a warping-frame to rolls and be coated with rubber or viscose solution, so that a sheet of adhering yarns is obtained for use in building up the tyre casing, or spaced light weft threads of cotton &c. may be interwoven with warped viscose yarns to hold the yarns in position whilst they are coated with rubber &c. ; or a fabric may be woven from viscose yarns and be subsequently coated with rubber &c. Mixed yarns produced from viscose mixed with cotton fibres may also be used.
