Abstract
155,895. Macdonald, D. B., and Densifiled Peat Fuel & Products, Ltd. Sept. 20, 1919. Peat, preparing.-Blocks of peat are prepared by pulping and reducing peat in a natural or wet condition to a homogeneous mass, then compressing it to dispel the air contained therein, cutting the mass into blocks and drying them. The compression may be effected bv forcing the peat through a reduced aperture. Drying may be carried out in a hot air chamber or a hot chamber filled with steam, care being taken to prevent cracking of the surfaces of the blocks. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1216/73, 3536/77, 6704/87, 25627/97, 2859/01, and 6153/02.
