Abstract

155,700. Lake, A. E. Dec. 1, 1919. Jacks.-In a lever jack the crutch member F is slidably mounted in a sleeve D pivotally connected to the end C<1> of the lever C and is adjusted by a cord K. A pawl G mounted on the sleeve D holds the member F in the desired position. A link E pivotally connected to the base A and sleeve D maintains the latter in vertical position. The base A is provided with wheels B. In a modification the sleeve D and member F are formed as a cylinder and piston, respectively, and the lower end of the cylinder is conected to a pump on the handle C<2>.
