Abstract
154,583. Pinto, C. P. Nov. 22, 1919, [Convention date]. Firing-appliances; breech actions, revolving- chamber.-Relates to firing-mechanism, specially intended for revolvers, in which the hammer is cocked by a pull of the trigger and fired by a second pull. According to the invention, the trigger acts directly upon the hammer when first pulled, and directly upon the sear when pulled for a second time. In the construction shown, the hammer 1 is raised, during the first pull of the trigger, by a projection 6 on the trigger engaging a shoulder 2 on the hammer, and at the end of this pull a projection 3 on the hammer is engaged by a hooked sear 8. During the second pull the end of the sear 8 is engaged by a notch 7 in the trigger and is operated thereby, asshown in Fig. 5.
