Abstract

The device contains a main electromagnet (1) as well as pole shoes which are allocated to the poles of this electromagnet. The pole shoes (3, 4) run along the movement path (11) of the parts which are to be conveyed, an additional winding (9, 10) being distributed over the entire length of the respective pole shoe (3, 4). At least one auxiliary electromagnet (2) is arranged on the pole shoes (3, 4) in such a manner that the polarity of its poles corresponds to the polarity of the poles of the main electromagnet (1). The magnetic force between the pole shoes and the main electromagnet at the point where the auxiliary electromagnet is arranged is selected to be equal to the magnetic force between the poles of the auxiliary electromagnet. The parts can be conveyed over long distances and on complicated paths with the aid of such a device. The device is suitable especially for automating technological processes in equipment and machine construction. <IMAGE>
