Abstract
The emergency triggering means is arranged in the hydraulic line via which the main valve of a steam turbine is controlled. An inlet line (33) is connected, via an inlet valve (24) which is closed in the rest state by a spring (21), to a chamber (35) which is connected, via an outlet line (37), to the actuating means of the main valve of the turbine. A second branch of the inlet line (33) acts, via an orifice plate (39), on the one hand, on the actuating piston (17) of the inlet valve in the opening direction and, on the other hand, on a disc-shaped outlet valve (50) together with a spring (59) in the closing direction. During normal operation, the inlet (33) is therefore connected to the outlet (37) and the inlet pressure acts on the actuating mechanism of the main valve. In the case of disruption, the second branch of the inlet line is emptied, via a further valve (70), to a return flow (77). The inlet valve (24) closes, and the outlet valve (50) opens the chamber (35) to the return flow (77), with the result that the main valve of the turbine closes rapidly. All three valves in the emergency triggering means are designed as seat valves, and this permits reliable operation. <IMAGE>
