Abstract

The device for the dry development of diazotype materials in film or paper form in the sheet format comprises a development chamber in which is arranged an inner chamber whose inner walls comprise a material of good thermal conductivity which is heated by heating elements and is thermally insulated against the outer walls of the development chamber. The inner chamber contains spray nozzles for the development liquid which are directed towards one or more of the inner walls. Control of the heating temperature of the heating elements and the amount of sprayed development liquid allows an unsaturated vapour atmosphere to be maintained and the formation of condensation water to be prevented.
