Abstract

153,965. Gee, L. F. Aug. 18, 1919. Heads.-A dished lid or stopper for sheecmetal drums, barrels, &c. comprises a bar 5 pivoted on a rivet 6 at the centre of the lid. The ends of the bar project over the ends of the lid, and spring under brackets 7, having downwardlyturned edges 8. The bar may be of double or multiple ply sheet-metal. Holes are provided at the outer ends of the bar and in the lugs, for a securing wire seal.
