1535716 Sealing strip DRAFTEX DEVELOPMENT AG 15 Oct 1975 [20 Nov 1974] 11074/78 Divided out of 1535715 Heading EIJ A channel section sealing strip comprises a metal carrier member 18 completely embedded in flexible material; all the flexible material on the inside surface of the carrier is relatively soft 112 and defines gripping ribs 114, 116, the flexible material 110 on the outside of the carrier is relatively hard; a beading 16 of the softer flexible material is provided. The relatively harder flexible material may be plastics e.g. PVC and the softer material may be rubber. The strip may be formed by first extruding soft material on to the carrier blank and forming the beading, then extruding the harder material and finally bending the strip into channel form.
