Abstract

1535265 Siloxane-based hydraulic fluids DOW CORNING CORP 6 Feb 1976 [10 Dec 1975] 4710/76 Heading C3T [Also in Division C5] An hydraulic fluid consists of (A) 89À5 to 94À75% by weight of a siloxane fluid having a viscosity of less than 250,000 centistokes at 25‹ C., (B) 5 to 10% by weight of a chlorendate having the general Formula I wherein each R is an alkyl radical containing from 4 to 10 carbon atoms or the tetrahydrofurfural radical, and (C) 0À25 to 0À5% by weight of a compound selected from antimony dithiocarbamates, antimony phosphorodithioates, lead dithiocarbamates and lead phosphorodithioates. The siloxane fluid (A) may have the general formula wherein each R<SP>1</SP> is selected from alkyl radicals containing from 1 to 12 carbon atoms and halogenated alkyl radicals containing from 3 to 12 carbon atoms, and x is zero or an integer.
