Abstract

1531707 Cleaning coking oven doors DR C OTTO & COMP GmbH 25 July 1977 [12 Aug 1976] 31088/77 Heading F2N A cleaning apparatus, for a coking oven door 10, comprises nozzles 18-21 for discharging pressurized water, wherein pairs of the nozzles situated, in use, one to each side of the door are aimed close to the sealing edge 31 of the door and are spaced apart by approximately half the height of the door and are disposed in a vertically adjustable frame, comprising a rear wall 14 and a plurality of square frames 34, the nozzles being pivotable about vertical axes 24 to 27, so that when the frame is in its top position the top nozzles can pivot towards one another to clean the top horizontal portion of the door and when in its bottom position the bottom nozzles can clean the bottom portion of the door.
