Abstract

1531476 Tube connectors H R DAVIES 16 Aug 1976 [21 Aug 1975] 34720/75 Addition to 1335702 Heading E2B A connector for connecting together a pair of tubes in an axially aligned relationship comprises two forged metal tube-engaging parts 10, 11; a collar 12; a bolt 13 which extends through a plain aperture 14 in the collar 12 and a threaded aperture 15 in body part 11 and a pin 16, having a head 17, which extends through apertures 18, 19 in the body 10 and collar 12 respectively. The outer end of pin 16 is peened over at 20 to hold the pin captive with respect to body part 10 and collar 12. Clamping is achieved by rotating the bolt 13 so that the tube engaging parts 10, 11 are urged away from each other.
