Abstract
1530051 Reinforcing panels and tiles JOHNS-MANVILLE CORP 19 April 1977 [20 April 1976] 16181/77 Heading E1B A tile or panel is reinforced, for use in larger sizes, by cutting one or more slots, e.g. 20a, 20b, in the back face at an acute angle to the face, and filling the slot(s) with reinforcing members or other reinforcing means. Preferably there are two mutually perpendicular slots for each reinforcement, as shown, and a reinforcing angle member is employed. The slots could, however, be filled with a settable liquid reinforcement. The tiles or panels could incorporate, e.g., mineral wool or wood fibres.
