Abstract
The building elements are used as wall elements with a thick concrete underlay, to make up prefabricated units. They consist of ceramic panels (1) or blocks with a concrete body as a rear coating. The concrete body (3) is made up from a cement mortar with inlaid glass fibres (4). these are in the form of continuous threads irregularity laid in the cement mortar. The threads of the glass fibre may be criss-crossing, or in a woven configuration: or they may be in the shape of staple fibres a few centimetres long, inlaid in the mortar. When used as an external wall curtain cladding element, thinner and lighter elements can be used than is usually practicable. the whole element may be several metres square.
