Abstract

1526989 Suspended ceilings MATRATECH THERMAL & ACOUSTIC SERVICES Ltd 13 May 1977 [18 Nov 1976] 48065/76 Heading E1W In a suspended ceiling, panels 9 with slotted edges are retained in position by springs 13 fixed to inverted T-section framing members 2 and to the surrounding walls. The framing members 2 are clipped to transverse supporting beams 1 by clips 3 and located by lugs 10 pressed out thereof. Beams 1 are interconnected by channel elements 5 with fusible plugs 5c provided to allow expansion in the event of fire. Aligned members 2 are interconnected by spring connectors 15. The unsupported panel edges are slotted, and stiffened by channel members 18 (see Fig. 2).
