Abstract

1524219 Pressure filter for wine A VELO and G VELO [trading as VELO ENOMECCANICA DI VELO ANTONIO E GIOVANNI SNC] 14 Nov 1975 [29 Nov 1974] 47011/75 Heading B1D A pressure filter (e.g. for wineries) comprises a pressure container 14 with a plurality of, e.g. fabric covered filter plates 16 mounted therein and arranged vertically, a liquid inlet 17 a filtered liquid outlet 25, and a bottom solids discharge outlet 19. The plates are mounted on at least one bottom supporting cross beam 24 arranged horizontally and transversely with respect to the pressure container 14, said cross beam being affixed to the container (e.g. by flexible plates 26, sealed at edges between plates 27 and 28) so as to be rectilinearly and axially vibratable by a vibrator means 29. Released filter cake falls towards bottom outlet 19 for removal. Fresh filter aid is mixed in container 13 by stirrer 21 and pumped by pump 18 into filter vessel (container 14) followed by liquid to be filtered, also through pump 18.
