Abstract
1517757 Insulated pipes; valves TOKYO GAS CO Ltd 30 Oct 1975 44876/75 Headings F2P and F2V [Also in Division F4] Circulation piping for a space heating system comprises two flexible parallel metal tubes 5 embedded in heat insulating material 6 of figure "8" configuration and an outer removable covering 7 which is spaced from the material 6 by voids a to facilitate cutting and removal of the covering 7. The tubes may be of copper, the insulation of foamed polyurethane, and the covering of polyethylene. The piping may be used in space heating systems having forced air convection heaters of the type including air inlet 11, air outlet 12, a heatexchanger 10, an on-off valve 14 and a fan 9. The valve comprises a thermistor 17, an expansion element 18, a spindle 19 attached to a valve member 20 which opens and closes a passageway 21, and a biasing spring 25.
