Abstract

1513955 Trip mechanism for printing machines FISCHER & KRECKE 16 May 1975 [24 May 1974] 20999/75 Heading B6C A printing machine has a mechanism for relatively adjusting an inking form cylinder 8, and plate cylinder 5 with respect to a blanket cylinder 2 by moving spacers 10a and 11a so that when respective cylinder supports are pressed together on each side of the machine a given spacing is achieved. Spacer 10a determines the relative position of the plate cylinder 5 and blanket cylinder 2 and spacer 11a determines that of cylinder 5 and cylinder 8. A chain 15 is finely adjusted using hand wheel 27 thereby moving form cylinder 8 and when printing is to commence piston 18 shifts cylinders 8 and 5 towards cylinder 2 by means of the chain 15. Springs are provided within spacers 10a and 11a to separate the cylinders when printing is stopped and a further spring 21 returns the chain 15 to its rest position. Spacers 10a, 11a are finely adjusted using wheels 34. Screw spindles (101) Fig. 10 (not shown) may be used instead of the chain 15.
