1512181 Packing assemblies POLYPAC (HARTLEPOOL) Ltd 6 Jan 1977 [13 Jan 1976] 01116/76 Heading F2B A packing assembly for a piston 11 includes a resilient seal ring 13 flanked by anti-extrusion rings 14 and wear rings 15, each ring 14 having an asymmetric V-section recess complementary to the adjacent side of the seal ring, this arrangement tending to minimize the risk of the seal ring rolling. Channels may be formed in the rings 14, 15 to apply fluid pressure to the seal ring.
