1510407 Lever-actuated switches; mounting switches SWF - SPEZIALFABRIK FUR AUTOZUBEHOR GUSTAV RAU GmbH 27 July 1976 [5 Aug 1975] 31227/76 Heading H1N A steering-column switch assembly for a motor vehicle includes a support member 10, comprising a bearing sleeve 12 for a steering shaft, and switch units 20, 27 actuated respectively by movement of a lever 21 in different directions, switch unit 27 being located in use between the bearing sleeve 12 and a wall 16, 17 enclosing the switch units and the support member. As shown the lever 21 can be moved along or pivoted about a bearing pin 28 and the assembly includes a further switch unit 30 operated by a lever 31 pivoted at 32, the switch unit 20 comprising fixed contacts 25 and movable contacts 41 and the switch unit 30 comprising fixed contacts 34 and movable contacts 37. The invention is also disclosed in Specification 1,510,408, which gives a more detailed description of switch unit 27.
