Abstract
1505536 Rotary fluid-flow meters COMPTEURS SCHLUMBERGER 26 March 1975 [26 March 1974] 12597/76 Heading F1T In an axial-flow turbine-type meter the rotor 21 is mounted on a fixed shaft 18 that is held in tension in a body 13 by e.g. a cap 16 into which it is screwed at 19 and a nut 20 engaging with a flow-divider 39. The shaft may be made of stainless steel and the rotor may be furnished with plain bearings 22, 23, which engage with abutments 24, 25 as well as the shaft. A deflector blade 28 may be attached to the flow-divider such that it can be adjusted through an aperture 32. The body 13 may be secured to a removable cover 38 and seated on a packing ring 17. Another embodiment, Fig. 1 (not shown), differs mainly in that a main body 11 and the cover 38 are dispensed with. In its form shown in Fig. 2 the meter is intended for use in a water system.
