Abstract

149,676. Burckhardt, R. W. July 31, 1919, [Convention date]. Gas-mixing appliances.-A device for mixing gas currents passing through flues, passages &c. more especially combustible gas and air, consists if tubes, semi-tubes or the like 5, 6, 7 placed at an angle to the direction of flow and having spaces between them, the arrangement being repeated as often as necessary along the flue. Alternate sections from the gas currents nearest the flue walls are thus interchanged and rapid mixture ensured. The tubes may cross as shown in Fig. 1, or be directed towards the centre of the flue as in Fig. 3.
