Abstract

1492931 Window frames R G ANDERSON 22 Jan 1975 [27 Oct 1973] 50096/73 Heading E1J A window frame comprises internal and external plastics frames 10, 16 which together define a cavity, the window aperture being defined on at least two opposite edges by flanges 20, 22 on both frames, the flanges being received in a resilient gasket 24. Both frames also have outer flanges 12, 14. The inner flanges may extend around the whole of the aperture. Inner and outer flanges are secured by adhesive or rivetting. In Figs. 5- 8 (not shown) a larger frame also contains a frame carrying louvres. The cavity may contain thermally insulating material.
