Abstract

1,104,687. Glazing. S. C. HART-STILL. 24, Sept., 1965, No. 40776/64. Heading E1R. A window frame assembly includes a frame member 1 each side of which has a flange 3, and walls 4, 5 defining a slot 6, and a frame member 2 having at each side a flange 10 and constructed to abut the edges of the walls 4, 5 to seal off the slot 6, the flange 10 providing pane-retaining means together with the flange 3. The members 1, 2 are releasably held together by clamping means in the form of resiliently-biased clips 16 around the frame I, engageable by members 24 in the frame member 2, mounted between the walls 4, 5 by pivots 17, 18. The biasing is done by a spring 20 on the base of the slot 6 and serving to hold the clips 16 in a disengaged position during assembly. The panes 13, 14 are separated by gaskets 11, 12 and 15.
