Abstract

1478401 Shelving &c SIEMENS AG 15 Aug 1974 [24 Aug 1973] 36050/74 Heading A4B A shelf-like rack construction comprises suspended members I and/or l' each formed with a plurality of key-hole type slots 4, shelf-like support members 6, 61, 62 having at each end a flange 7 provided with apertures 8, and stud fasteners each comprising two flanges 16 spaced apart by a boss 14, each support member 6, 61, 62 extending between two suspended members 1, 1' and being secured thereto by respective studs with the boss extending through the narrow part of a slot 4 and through an aperture 8. Each flange 7 may constitute one limb 11 of an angle bracket, the other limb 10 of which is welded, at welding pips 12, to the support member 6, 61, 62. The aperture 8 extends from the apex of the angle bracket along one limb 11 and has a short extension into the other limb 10. A locking clip 20-24 may be filtered to maintain engagement of the stud in the slot 4. The stud may comprise two parts snapfitted together, a central spherical extension 18 on one part engaging a central bore 17 in the other part and retained by anchored spring pins 19.
