Abstract
1476699 Electricity supply systems MAT. SUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 24 Dec 1974 55714/74 Heading H2H [Also in Division G3] In a power supply system for operation on at least two different supply voltages, the number of secondary windings in circuit of a power transformer are automatically selected in response to the supply voltage so as to provide a substantially constant voltage for different predetermined values of applied voltage which substantially constant voltage is then rectified at 9 ... 12 and voltage stabilized at 14 ... 16. As described, when the supply voltage to primary 1 is changed from 100-200 V, relay 8 is energized so as to select tapping 2b on the secondary 2 and thus feed the same voltage to the bridge rectifier 9 ... 12. In Fig. 3A, relay 8 is energized from the secondary winding 2, tappings of which cater for supply voltages of 100, 120, 220 and 240. Figs. 2A, 2B and 3B-4B (not shown) relate to systems in which the number of secondary windings is selected, in some cases in response to the voltage at a tapping on the primary.
