Locking nuts.-In a nut lock of the kind in which a split conical projection on one nut part is adapted to engage a conical recess in another nut part, the included angle at the apex of the conical projection 5 is 90 degrees or thereabouts, and the base of the cone is considerably less than the width of the face of the nut part 1. A recess may be formed in the base of the cone, and the angle of the conical recess in the part 7 may be less acute than the projection 5.
