Abstract

1469903 Ink droplet printing INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP 20 March 1975 [30 April 1974] 11590/75 Heading B6P An ink droplet printer nozzle assembly comprises a nozzle unit 12, a piezoelectric transducer 14 and a reaction mass 16, the nozzle unit, transducer and reaction mass being fixed together and mounted as an assembly on resilient vibration damping material 56 by securing the reaction mass to the material 56. The damping material is held in a frame 30 which is itself supported on leaf springs 42, 44. The transducer is energized at a resonant frequency of the assembly.
