Abstract

1464618 Impact hammers ALLIED STEEL & TRACTOR PRODUCTS Inc 11 June 1974 [11 June 1973] 25901/74 Heading B4C A vibratory impact hammer comprises a support frame 12, 14 an impacting member 32 resiliently mounted by members 109, 110, 112, 114 drive means comprising an hydraulic motor 72 and eccentrically mounted weight 36 which causes an impact member 34 to move and a plate 107 fixed thereon to strike a tool 146 at a position where the impacting member produces straight line motion. The drive to the hydraulic motor has pressure and flow controlled by appropriate limiters. The members 109, 110, 112, 114 are rubber blocks mounted in shear and the upper ones are softer than the lower ones, and allow horizontal vibration whereas the lower ones allow only vertical movement. The impact member 34 is guided at its lower ends for vertical movement without lateral movement by means of slide blocks 216 mounted on pins 212 thereon which slide in vertical channels.
