Abstract

1462447 Mechanical switches DEUTSCHE TELEPHONWERKE UND KABELINDUSTRIE AG 13 Nov 1974 [17 Nov 1973] 49185/74 Heading H1N In a key actuated electric switch a movable contact plate 7 Fig. 1, first moves on depression of the key 9 to engage one or more fixed contacts 82 and then tilts to engage at least one further contact 83. The plate 7 has apertures for slidably mounting on a central pin 36 of a platen 3 depressed by projections 91 on the key 9 which extend through a keyboard grid 2. Springs 4 beneath the platen 3 operate to retract the key 9 and springs 6 resiliently retain the contact plate 7 and take up excess movement of the key 9. Lamps 11 are mounted centrally of the keys 9 and have terminals 81 extending through the printed circuit board 8 carrying the contacts 82, 83.
