Abstract

1459829 Offshore platforms INGENIOR F SELMER AS 13 Nov 1974 [16 Nov 1973] 49166/74 Heading E1H A concrete foundation for an offshore platform comprises three hollow columns 8 which support a platform 20, e.g. of steel, on the sea bottom, and box girders 16 extending between frusto-conical portions 10 of the columns. The girders 16 extend for the same vertical height as the portions 10. A skirt 18 can extend from the lower portion of the foundation. The columns can be formed with ballast or oil storage tanks. Pipes 22 enable air under pressure, or vacuum, to be supplied to the foundation.
