Abstract
1458694 Heat-fixing PITNEY-BOWES Inc 8 March 1974 [8 March 1973] 10583/74 Heading G2H A xerographic toner image on a sheet is heatfixed by contacting it with a heated roller having a silicone rubber composition outer surface to which surface a thin film of silicone oil is applied to prevent toner offset. The preferred silicone rubber composition is a fumed silica-containing dimethylvinylsiloxane-dimethylpolysiloxane dispersion. The composition may be reinforced with 1-5 wt. per cent of red iron oxide.
