Abstract

1494218 Electro-photography ITEK CORP 18 Dec 1974 [2 Jan 1974] 54776/74 Heading G2H Toner images are transferred from drum 10 to belt 61, are heated by radiant energy to a tacky condition and are transferred to and fixed on copy material 72, the belt and copy material remaining in contact after transfer so that heat from the belt is passed to the paper to assist fixing. The belt may be surfaced with silicone rubber or a fluorelastomer, and have a polyimide substrate with a reflecting layer of aluminium. Alternatively, the belt may be transparent.
