Abstract

1458163 Turret lathes PITTLER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 13 June 1975 [8 July 1974] 25416/75 Heading B3T An automatic lathe comprises at least two tool turrets 2 and 4 which are associated with a single work spindle, the turret 2 being mounted on a longitudinal slide 1 which is movable parallel to the work spindle and the turret 4 is mounted on a cross slide 3 mounted on the slide 1 so as to be at an oblique angle to the axis of the work spindle. The turrets 2 and 4 are coupled together and indexable by a common drive which also is coupled to a template drum 16 which actuates the cross slide and which is indexed in synchronism with the turrets. The cross slide constitutes a copying slide and the common drive is formed by the drive motor 7 and gear combinations 8, 10, 12, 13 and 20. The movement of the slide 1 is controlled by adjustable stops 15 on a central drum 14, simultaneously indexed with the turrets.
