Abstract

1456325 Packing box with removable lid for foodstuffs TORSTEN JEPPSSON AB 5 July 1974 29813/74 Heading B8P A packing box containing foodstuff consists of an outer container 1 provided at its upper rim 2 with a planar flange 3 having inwardly and outwardly projecting portions relative to the box wall; an inner container 5; and a removable and reclosable cover 7 which includes a central portion 9 of greater size than the aperture defined by the inner edge of the flange 3, and a flange including a groove-forming portion 10 enabling the cover to form a snap fit about the inner edge of flange 3; and a portion 8 engaging the upper side of the flange 3, the cover when in the closed position pressing against the upper rim 6 of the inner container 5. The cover may have a stiffening panel 11 inserted above the central portion 9 thereof. The inner container 5 and the cover may be formed of moulded plastics material; the outer container may be erected from a carton blank. A sealing foil may be anchored to flange 6 of the inner container.
