Abstract

1452202 Umbrellas BREMSHEY AG 18 Feb 1974 [29 March 1973] 09163/76 Divided out of 1452201 Heading A4P The subject matter of this Specification is contained in Specification 1452201 but the claims relate to an umbrella frame having a plurality of multi-part ribs, an outer rib part of which is foldable upwardly to a position adjacent a further rib part when the frame is closed, and a plurality of pivotal main struts connecting the further rib parts to a slider on the stick, control struts being pivotally connected to a corresponding main strut and an extension of the corresponding outer rib part and lying generally along the further rib part and acting to urge the outer rib part to fold downwards and upwards during opening and closing respectively of the frame, each control strut and corresponding further rib part being such that the further rib part is bowed away from the control strut when the frame is open.
